Moroccan Hummus (Mo's Pizza)


  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Paprika, for garnish

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish


  1. In a food processor or blender, combine the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, cayenne, salt, and pepper.

  2. Pulse until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

  3. With the machine running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil and

blend until the hummus is light and fluffy.

  1. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed.

  2. Spoon the hummus into a serving bowl and smooth the top with the back of a spoon.

  3. Sprinkle the top with paprika and chopped parsley or cilantro.

  4. Serve the hummus with warm pita bread or crackers. Enjoy!

NB: Hummus, is not a Moroccan Recipe But Mo modified it for better taste.
